What is a Community Council Fire, and why is it important?!

Our Community Council Fire is a virtual circle for the Earth-Based Institute (EBI) community to come together for sacred listening and sharing (and yes, we consider you part of our community!).

Sitting in council is different from your usual back-and-forth discussion or webinar lecture.

Council is an ancestral practice of nonjudgemental deep listening and authentic sharing. In our council, we make space for our relationship with Nature, and to give voice to the important topics we know our community carries in their heart. To the themes often brushed under the rug in our busy, fast-paced lives.
We're not here to fix nor give advice, we are here to witness one another in our truths.
Circling around a fire is a symbol of the power of community. Your passions, callings, and gifts are your individual flames that keep the larger, collective fire alive.

And when you hear one another's stories, you remember you’re not alone.

Gathering in Council is a ritual people around the globe have been practicing for millennia that is often lost in our modern, fast-paced culture. Here at EBI, we believe this ancient way of being in community is the foundation to living a nature-connected life in the modern world.
